Reflectatherm Plus, a high performance vapour barrier developed by the A. Proctor Group, has been installed on the new Passenger Terminal Building at Muscat Airport in Oman.
The state-of-the-art Passenger Terminal Building has a total gross floor area of 344,995m2, and is protected by a complete roofing system installed by Lakesmere that covers an area of 16,750m2.
The roofing system incorporated Reflectatherm Plus, a vapour tight layer that restricts the passage of both liquid water and water vapour; combined with a heat reflective low emissivity coating destine to enhance the energy performance of the building envelope.
The application of Reflectatherm Plus reduces the likelihood of condensation and helps to maintain a high level of moisture resistance throughout the extensive new terminal building complex.
