Freefoam launches X-Wood PVC-U woodgrain cladding

  • 31 Oct 2016

Freefoam Building Products has launched an exterior PVC-U cladding with a woodgrain finish, designed to replicate the aesthetics of timber without the maintenance issues.

X-Wood features a heavy duty through coloured plastic foam core, encased in a plastic skin and coated with Renolit film to create a hard wearing, stable material with a subtle woodgrain finish.

X-Wood cladding is available in six colours from subtle white, cream and greyed cider to traditional oak, anthracite grey and wine red. Ideal for both commercial and domestic new build projects, all options are available with a ten-year guarantee.

The 16mm thick X-Wood board requires no sealing or treating and includes a full range of aluminium and PVC-U trims to ensure a fast and tidy finish. The cladding is manufactured not to warp, split, splinter or decay, and provides UV protection by utilising Renolit film to ensure it is colourfast and weatherproof.

PVC cladding like X-Wood requires very little maintenance and is guaranteed to last for ten years, just needing a gentle wash down to keep it looking in good condition.

The X-Wood range has been designed to complement Freefoam’s existing woodgrain single shiplap, embossed double shiplap and weatherboard range.
