Aggregate Industries has launched a new concrete product developed for contractors facing adverse weather conditions during the winter months.
WeatherMix concrete achieves a sufficient level of strength in order to resist damage by freezing, available in a single grade for use in temperatures of +3°C to 0°C.
According to Aggregate Industries, Weathermix achieves superior workability, pump ability and placement with reduced segregation and bleeding. The system also provides desirable finishing characteristics for flat work and cast systems.
WeatherMix meets the performance requirements of BS EN 206, BS 8500 and BS EN 13670 requirements. Together with an accelerated winter setting time and reduced heating and protection time in cold weather, the application of WeatherMix could also lead to quicker finishing times, with a possible knock on effect of lower labour costs throughout the project.
