CA Group has demonstrated its commitment to providing secure fire prevention solutions by upgrading its MatriX spacer bracket.
The new MatriX Bracket, complete with FireWall option, was designed, developed and tested by a number of CA Group engineers. It has been incorporated into the MatriX Spacer System, offering enhanced immovability and strength.
It is compatible with CA Group’s Twin-Therm and River-Therm cladding systems; the new FireWall is also suitable for use in the company’s SolarWall and Prime Rainscreen solutions.
Whilst maintaining the original MatriX bracket’s 240 minutes of structural integrity, the new bracket is capable of achieving an additional 120 minutes of insulation integrity.
CA Group worked to investigate and test a number of design options at its facilities, over a two-year period, before deciding on a prototype. The new MatriX Bracket meets the company’s vision, allowing for seamless integration with the existing system.
It was put through intense testing via several external houses: Lucideon carried out structural and weatherbility tests; Sound Research Labs tested for acoustics; and FireWall testing was completed by Exvoa.
The product achieved the BRE certifications LPS1181 & 1208 reaction to fire; it has also been approved by the BBA.
CA Group was able to mass-produce the product via a combination of new technology and its roll forming expertise.
