Catnic is supplying a range of bespoke steel lintels for use in the two-year development of 25 properties on Cheshire’s Forge Lane.
Keyworker Homes is currently working on a multi-million pound development in Forge Lane, Congleton. Designed by Trinity Architecture, the development consists of 3 bedroom town houses and detached houses with 4-5 bedrooms.
Work began in November 2015; with Phase One currently underway, the entire development is scheduled for completion in Q4 of 2017.
Keyworker Homes was tasked with sourcing a range of bespoke steel lintels for the project. As a result, Catnic was contracted to provide a series of heavy-duty and arch lintels for use in the construction of the 25 properties.
After assessing the developer’s drawings, Catnic was able to outline a production schedule, complete with structural loading measurements, at no charge. The document provides all necessary production details to ensure structural accuracy and avoid onsite complications.
Keyworker Homes is also making use of Catnic’s estimating service, to keep the project running to its build programme.
Catnic is in the process of manufacturing a range of Cavity Wall Open Back Lintels for the Forge Lane development. Designed to resist impact, damage and abrasion, the lintels comprise continuous CFC and HCFC free insulation.
The company has also produced several heavy-duty mitred lintels, which have been used to provide reinforced structural support on a number of plots. These were supplied in three sections and bolted together onsite.
In order to ensure the unique design of the houses is supported, Catnic is working on a range of bespoke semi-circular arch lintels for porch arches, in addition to Lintel Arch Centres for use over openings in external cavity walls.
The bespoke arch lintels have been designed to offer flexibility for feature brickwork, ensuring the desired aesthetic can be achieved.
