DOYMA pipe sealing systems installed at London Wall Place development

Interflow’s DOYMA range of pipe sealing systems has been specified for a multi-million pound conversion project in one of London’s most historic districts.

interflow-london-wall-place-pr-img3London Wall Place is a landmark scheme designed by MAKE which is set to deliver 500,000 square feet of extensive, landscaped public realm and two office buildings; bringing a renewed vibrancy to the area.

For the London Wall scheme, Interflow supplied a series of DOYMA pipe sealing systems to protect the two office buildings against structural damage wherever service ducts are installed through walls, ceilings or floors, to ensure excellent preventative measures against penetrating liquids.

Specified products include the DOYMA Curaflex pipe sleeve 6000, a steel pipe sleeve which provides optimum contact surface for the elastomer of the Curaflex gasket insert. The pipe sleeve is ideal for high static loads with integrated fixed and loose flanges which can be installed discreetly within the shuttering.

The product is gas-tight and can be supplied with elastomer packings, Curaflex 1775, depending on the tanking membranes, to clamp thin and hard membranes.

Ideal for buildings without tanking membranes, the DOYMA Curaflex pipe sleeve 3000 was chosen to form a watertight bond with the concrete, as its coefficient of expansion corresponds to that of concrete. The fibrous DOYMA Curaflex pipe sleeve 3001 was also installed at 1 and 2 London Wall Place.

The London Wall Place scheme has been assessed under BREEAM 2014, achieving an ‘Excellent’ rating with occupier co-operation, representing a minimum of 25 percent improvement over 2010 Part L Building Regulation requirements. The project has been designed with the latest environmentally efficient heating, cooling and ventilation systems as well as lighting.
