Both sites had suffered from pipe leakages in recent years and it was decided that a replacement was needed to eliminate further costs and inconveniences to residents.

Specified for its corrosion resistance and ease of installation, RAUVITHERM PE-Xa pipe is manufactured using polymer over traditional steel.  The system is supplied in continuous lengths up to 330m so there are fewer joints required and use REHAU EVERLOC leak free compression sleeve technology.

The Sheffield project required RJ Utility Services to replace the pipework in two separate networks, feeding close to 170 properties. For one of the projects, a variety of pipe sizes from the RAUVITHERM range were chosen for all of the distribution pipework, from the plant room into the individual properties.
