Architectural ironmonger Allgood plc has launched a RIBA accredited CPD created to demystify ironmongery terminology, relevant standards and regulations, in addition to best practice guidelines set out in Approved Document M and BS 8300.
The seminar considers Allgood’s “five essential steps” to ironmongery specification: hang it, close it, lock it, open it and dress it.
Franz Lorenschitz, Marketing Manager at Allgood commented: “Specifying the ironmongery for a specialist or large project can seem like a daunting task – especially with each door often requiring specific features, for example, additional security, acoustics or aesthetics.
The launch of our CPD seminar will address these issues, providing best practice advice as well as outlining the common issues often faced by architects when beginning the architectural ironmongery specification process.”
