Eddie Stobart and Aggregate Industries five-year partnership commences

  • 16 Nov 2016

Eddie Stobart and Aggregate Industries chain transport and logistics supply partnership has gone live after the two companies signed a five-year contract in late spring.

Eddie Stobart will deliver loads for the Aggregate’s concrete products division, allowing the company to provide a more personalised and flexible service for its customers.

The multimodal hauler has been preparing for the contract to commence by purchasing a new fleet of offload trailers and EN-XL curtainsiders, in addition to staffing a new traffic office centred around the Aggregate deal and has created various specialist driving roles.  Aggregate will also benefit from a dedicated team of drivers, operators, customer service and HSEQ staff.

Eddie Stobart will also offer its industry-accredited training to partner haulers.

Aggregate Industries and end customers will be able to track loads unreal time, from arrival at site to subsequent planned arrival with the customer. This will allow the company to monitor each load’s turnaround time, to help efficiency on site and help improve service to the end customer.
