Abloy UK has released its latest whitepaper, ‘Keeping up with compliance: Escape doors standards’.
Research suggests that, on a daily basis, there is an average of 162 building fires in Britain, which result in over 9,100 fatalities or serious injuries. To prevent such casualties, those involved in the development of a building must conform to regulations and standards from the outset.
Architects, installers and construction workers are responsible for ensuring that the correct, compliant elements are in place.
‘Keeping up with compliance: Escape doors standards’ explains the importance of compliance for escape doors, and recommends several solutions.
Abloy explains why it is essential that each party – from architects and specifiers, to installers and facilities managers – takes responsibility for ensuring compliant standards are met, to guarantee safe egress for the occupants of the building.
The whitepaper is available for download via Abloy’s website
