Aluminium glazing manufacturer Smart Systems has specified a freestanding hydraulic platform lift developed by Stannah for its three storey, high-use storage warehouse.
Supplied in its own structure, the Midilift SL is shiftless and pitless and takes just a few days to install. The lift can travel up to 7 metres and runs off a single phase power supply, with energy efficient lighting.
At the Smart Systems warehouse, the lift was specified in a durable (BS22B15) Swansdown powder coating. The lift is wheelchair-accessible with a ramp at ground level, and an intercom and light grey safety flooring to offer further reassurance to passengers.
The Midilift SL helped Smart Systems meet the requirements of Part M and BS 8300 of the Building Regulations, in addition to EN81-41 and the Equality Act 2010.
The lift is covered by Stannah’s lift service plan, with four service visits in the first year and continued maintenance from then on.
