GEZE UK has introduced a series of modular natural ventilation systems that offer wireless climate control through a single switch or building management system.
The systems can operate in isolation or in tandem with other climate control systems, such as air conditioning, and feature a range of options including open/close window control, wireless climate ventilation, integrated ventilation and indoor climate building control.
Wireless climate ventilation control enables indoor climate to be maintained by automatically operating windows based on the current room and external temperatures.
The system features a compact weather station which records outdoor temperature, brightness, condensation and wind speed, which communicates wirelessly with the control panel.
In contrast, integrated ventilation control utilises sensors and control technology to optimise natural ventilation by measuring temperature, humidity and CO2 levels inside the building.
For a total climate control solution, an indoor climate building control system benefits from automatic ventilation, which adjusts according to temperature and humidity; a rain alarm, which will automatically close windows to protect the indoors from moisture; and a wind alarm.
The system can also be linked to heat and smoke extraction systems – opening windows when a fire alarm sounds to allow smoke and heat to escape.
GEZE UK managing director Kaz Spiewakowski commented: “Our new ventilation and indoor climate control systems combine the advantages of natural ventilation with modern convenience.
They offer significant benefits, reducing energy costs, improving safety, providing an environmentally friendly alternative to air conditioning and aiding the health and well-being of those using the building with a flow of ‘real fresh air’ and release of stale air.”
