Seven benefits of acoustic movable walls

  • 5 Dec 2016

Moving Designs has announced the launch of Prestige, a range of UK manufactured, acoustic movable walls.

Capable of withstanding flames for longer than sixty minutes, Prestige is designed to the highest specification and safety requirements. To mark the launch, Moving Designs has detailed seven benefits of acoustic movable walls:

Space Management

Movable walls provide an effective space solution for a variety of environments including offices, educational establishments, sporting facilities, dining and entertainment facilities, religious centres and retail areas.

Smart use of space

By utilising operable walls, room sizes can be changed in an instant. This flexible solution means users may capitalise on the revenue potential of commercial space or simply create the most efficient use of floor space: whether it’s dividing a school hall into two different multi-purpose areas for physical activities, or splitting a large conference facility into smaller seminar rooms by sub-dividing these space with acoustic movable walls.

Acoustics

Movable walls provide the highest specification range of fully operable individual-panel systems, offering noise reduction up to 58dB due to a combination of acoustic infill’s and operable top and bottom seals.

Operation

The movable panels move quietly and effortlessly along an aluminium overhead track system when the operable seals are retracted.

Final closure of each panel is by a removable operating handle that extends the seal from the top and bottom of each panel forming an acoustic seal.

Adaptable configurations

The track and carrier system provides ease of operation and directional flexibility, allowing panel stacking in countless configurations.

Panel options

Individual panels can be constructed with either manual or semi automatic retractable top and bottom seal and are also available curved or with inset pass doors and glazed cut outs.

Finishes

Moving Designs’ systems can be supplied in a large range of popular finishes include MFC, veneers and laminates. The company also offers dry wipe, wall coverings and fabrics.
