RAINBOX flat-packed drainage ideal solution for school sports surface

  • 8 Dec 2016

Effective drainage is an essential component in the design and construction of any sports or recreational grounds. Managing stormwater effectively can eliminate waterlogging, reduce compaction and maintain a good playing surface.

Synthetic Turf Management factored this into its specification of JDP’s RAINBOX Attenuation Solutions, to protect its new multi-purpose games area (MUGA) at Bookwell Primary School in Cumbria.

The JDP technical team designed a water management solution that incorporated a total 200 RAINBOX 3S modular crates.

Typically used for light, non-traffic applications, RAINBOX 3S crates are delivered flat-packed for quick and easy assembly on-site, meaning it could be supplied to Bookwell Primary School in just two trips, in turn providing significant savings on transport and CO2 emissions.
