After experiencing an increase in demand for its Rivius range, Wienerberger has developed the Heather Slate, to offer the aesthetic appeal of slate and the practical benefits of clay in one product.
First launched in 2015, the Rivius roof tile has proven popular amongst Wienerberger’s customers. Its structure – which lacks tough rivets, grading slates and requires no drilling – ensures that it can be applied quickly and efficiently.
The tile was nominated in the Best New Product category at last year’s Housebuilder Product Awards, receiving praise from satisfied contractors and developers.
The Heather Slate provides an alternative to the range’s popular Antique Slate.
Featuring a riven surface and dressed edges, the tile has the appearance of a natural slate, despite being made from natural sedimentary clay.
Whilst benefiting from the premium finish associated with slate products, the tile offers the benefits linked with using clay. Designed to be efficient, like its counterparts, the Heather Slate aids in reducing the time spent roofing a property.
Excited by the Heather Slate’s potential, Wienerberger has expressed a desire to develop the range further in the near future.
Indoor air quality and ventilation manufacturing specialist Nuaire is pleased to be exhibiting at the Specifi Mechanical Services events once again in 2025.
