ACE Fabreeka UK introduces new ‘Thermal Breaks’ CPD certified training module

  • 8 Feb 2017

A new CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certified training course titled ‘Introduction to Thermal Breaks’ has been introduced by ACE Fabreeka UK, the developer of Fabreeka TIM material.

Trusted thermal break solution, Fabreeka TIM, is specified by building  and construction professionals everywhere. A thermal break can be applied to conserve fuel and power in a building as it is a material of low thermal conductivity.

The company’s customer support programme is maximising the potential of engineered building and construction materials to advance the energy performance of buildings and structures, making the launch of this new course as being fundamental.

Trainees are given the basic knowledge required to identify opportunities for the application of thermal breaks and structural thermal breaks in the introductory module. The learning content can be accessed ‘on the go’ as it is hosted free of charge online.

Certified by the CPD certification service, the training credits are accepted by professional bodies such as the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in meeting the CPD requirements for professional registrations, typically to be a chartered engineer.

Contractors and buyers in the building and construction industry are the target audience for this beginner module and additionally, architects and structural engineers may also enjoy this training as a refresher.

The module is two hours and include an hour long webinar and an hour long guided independent study and then tests. Those who attend the webinar will earn one credit for attending and a total of two credits for passing the end of module tests.
