Novus restores social housing with The Guinness Partnership

  • 20 Feb 2017

Novus Property Solutions has collaborated with social housing provider, The Guinness Partnership, to refresh the exterior envelope of The Willows, a block of 12 flats in Stockport.

The Guinness Partnership has been in operation since 1890, providing homes and care services to cities, towns and rural areas across England. The social housing provider has a portfolio of over 65,000 homes, having invested millions into housebuilding, regeneration and property maintenance.

Operatives from Novus Property Solutions’ Salford office completed works at The Willows in late 2016, replacing existing timber windows with UPVC, improving the roofline areas and removing asbestos from the premises.

The installations were carefully planed to minimise disruption to occupants, whilst scaffolding was erected and dismantled in phases around the building to account for the limited space on site.

The Willows is just the most recent of many collaborative projects undertaken by Novus Property Solutions and The Guinness Partnership. Novus recently restored the front of India House, the Guinness Partnership’s Manchester office, a project that spanned 10 months and involved the complex restoration of the front of the Grade II* listed building.
