A free CPD-Accredited Guide to working with the F-Gas Regulations has been released by Mitsubishi Electric with the aim to help anyone involved in air conditioning to understand how this will affect them and their equipment.
People need to be aware that here is plenty of time to plan for future milestones in the F-Gas phase down process, says Marketing Manager for the company’s range of the split air conditioning systems, Graham Temple.
The background of the regulations is looked at by the guide, as well as why they have come about. It explores how the phase down is planned to operate and what this means for both air conditioning systems and their owners.
Reducing emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gases) used predominantly in the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors is the overriding objective of the legislation, as it makes a significant contribution to climate change.
Therefore, the guide looks at the strengthening of obligations on leak checks, repairs, recovery and training and includes details of bans of certain F-Gases in some applications.
Graham Temple adds that the company wants to help installers, consultants and building operators understand how the F-Gas Regulations will affect them both now and in the future.
