ACR News Awards shortlist Big Foot Systems

Big Foot Systems has recently announced that it’s new Lock ‘n’ Load frame has been shortlisted in the ACR News Awards.

The Lock ‘n’ Load, a freestanding, non-penetrative frame designed to support mini split outdoor air conditioning units, has been nominated in the ‘Air Conditioning Ancillary Product of the Year’ category.

The awards reward companies that demonstrate excellence in the way they operate or in what they produce. A gala dinner will be held on 23rd March 2017 for the ACR News Awards 2017.

Sam Birch, Product Manager at Big Foot Systems said that the Lock ‘n’ Load Frame is a great addition to the range of non-penetrative support systems and accelerates the speed of on-site air conditioning installation as well as simplifying the installations process by removing the need to fabricate a support on site.

It is a simple AC support solution for engineers who have previously fabricated DIY supports out of struts as a quick fix on site. With a simple push and lock system that speeds up on site assembly, with stand set-up taking under 15 minutes, installers are offered an off-the-shelf support solution.

The product is available from local distributor branches boxed and ready to use on site. Engineers can save time and hassle by collecting and carrying the frame to the project site and constructing it easily and simply.

Big Foot Systems’ Lock ‘n’ Load is designed to support mini split outdoor AC units and can support AC units on both flat rooftop or ground mounted applications.

There is no need to secure the product to the building or floor as the frame is pre-frabricated and available ready to install and with only one tool required to assemble the frame. Consequently, the frame can be moved into position easily, once installed.

In addition, the Lock ‘n’ Load can also be used in restricted space for multiple unit installations where the frames can be used in a tower/double stack configuration and the frame allows vertical adjustment, ensuring a level finish for unit mounting.

It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including projects which have planning height restrictions, with three height options and extension kits. The frame’s drop on cross bar makes it versatile as it can be moved with the unit in situ, before securing in place, allowing infinite cross bas adjustments along the end bar.

As the load is spread using the renowned Big Foot feet, the product is capable of bearing a maximum of 150kg. As it does not damage the delicate membrane, it is ideal for modern lightweight single ply membrane roofs. Made from hot dip galvanised metal work with a guarantee of ten years, it is robust and ideal for outside application.

Big Foot Systems provides improved roof aesthetics that are quick and easy to install and combines market leading products and services, including system design and on-site support. It is available to install in all weathers utilising familiar componentry, designed with safety, security and simplicity in mind.
