Rationel Chiswick Gate development

Eco-friendly timber windows specified for Chiswick Gate development

  • 21 Mar 2017

Environmentally-friendly timber windows, entrance doors and window doors by Rationel have been installed at a new housing development by Berkeley Homes in West London at Chiswick Gate.

Specified for their slim profiles and good factory-to-site lead times, top swing windows from the AuraPlus range were fitted with additional aluminium cladding to protect the timber frames and extend their life in use.

The timber frames, chosen from the AuraPlus range, are largely sourced from FSC forests, and triple glazing in the range can provide U-values as low as 0.79W/m2K.

Alan Daly, from Berkeley Group, commented: ”Rationel could supply us with an aesthetically pleasing window with slim frames, good acoustic reduction and were quite competitive on price. We have worked with the firm in the past and know the product is built to last and suits this development.”

Designed by architects Falconer Chester Hall, the Chiswick Gate Development is based close to the River Thames, the gardens of Chiswick House, and the M4 and Chiswick High Street. Properties at the development are being advertised from £800,000 up to £2.2m.
