Jet Cox letting in the light for Archipod Home Office innovation

  • 21 Mar 2017

Archipod Ltd is leading the way as garden offices become more popular, with its range of garden office ‘pods’.

Allowing as much natural daylight in as possible was a priority for Archipod, allowing the environment to be productive and great for health and well-being. Therefore, Coxdome Circular Rooflights from Jet Cox were specified as the standard rooflight solution.

The Archipod ‘Pod’ consists of a unique 3m diameter sphere, constructed mainly from timber and designed to complement the natural garden landscape. In addition, the FatPod is also available as a 4m extended model. Both models utilise the benefits offered by Coxdome Circular Rooflights with 900mm ad 1800mm diameters respectively.

The Circular rooflights sit within the spherical pod design. Managing Director of Archipod, Chris Sneesby explains that the upstands on the Coxdome Circular place the dome at the correct height to accommodate the single cladding and flashings.

He added that Jet Cox was one of the few suppliers offering a solution that not only looked right and offered the right dimensions to suit the size of the pods, at a competitive price.

Coxdome Circular is available with double, triple or quadruple skins, and a choice of two ventilation options. Glazing is available spherical in Clear, Diffused, Opal or Cool & Clear with manual or electronic opening options.

The upstands are manufactured with a double layer Glass Reinforced Plastic with polyurethane and are compatible with most roofing materials.
