Plumis has devised Automist Smartscan, leading the way in how fires can be addressed more effectively, more efficiently and leaving less damage than was possible before.
Automist Smartscan has scanning technology that seeks out the fire with Automist’s pivoting sensor and water-misting nozzle arrangement, once activated. A targeted spray of water mist is directed at the source, once identified, suppressing it rapidly.
The Automist Smartscan can be retrofitted into the home with minimal disruption, and is discreet in appearance with the fire sensing nozzle head tucked away into its wall-based housing. In addition, it looks good – catching the homeowner’s eye and prompting regular checks.
As opposed to flowing down indiscriminately from the ceiling, the water mist jets can be directed straight at the source, housed on most internal walls. Plus, the design of the spray pattern retains the smoke within the upper layer of the room and its position on the wall ensures that the water doesn’t evaporate in the smoky hot layer that rises above a fire but is instead focused on where it is needed most.
You can be sure that you are trusting your home to a reliable, quality product, with the Smartscan being tested to some of the highest international domestic standards. The device can also be linked up with domestic smart home devices and can even alert the homeowner’s phone if a fire occurs or if the system requires critical maintenance.
Global technology research and advisory company, Technavio, identified water mist and smart systems in the residential setting as emerging trends that had the potential to significantly impact the fire suppression market. Furthermore, Automist Smartscan was singled out as being at the vanguard of that wave.
