Altius has developed an online supply chain health check tool, which allows managers to assess contractors, sub-contractors, and areas of risk in large supply chains.
Large supply chains are frequently used by many construction firms, with up to 70% of services often provided by external suppliers.
Whilst supply chains offers many benefits, it is important to identify weak links or cracks in the sequence. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers must be made visible to ensure efficient supply chain management; when using manual process, such as spreadsheets, to track a growing supply base, this is not always possible.
Altius has designed its supply chain health check tool to give managers an insight into the level of control and visibility they have over contractors and sub-contractors.
After submitting their answers to an online questionnaire, managers are provided with a customised report, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses in their supplier relationships. The personalised documents also suggest possible actions for improvement.
By organising contractor information efficiently, managers are less likely to come across blind spots in supply chains.
