Eurocell has enhanced its Dales Collection range of composite doors to offer increased security and improved aesthetics.
The Dales Collection range of GRP-faced, PVC-U composite doors have been designed to offer exceptional security, fire resistance, and thermal performance. Eurocell has made several changes to the collection to enhance its reliability and visual appeal.
Three new panel designs – the Elton, Hartington and Newhaven – have been added to the range, offering a combination of traditional farmhouse and contemporary styles. These are complemented by an additional six glass patterns.
With fifteen styles and eighteen glazing options available, specifiers can combine elements from the Dales Collection to create bespoke composite doors.
A variety of contemporary colours, including Slate Grey, Anthracite Grey, and Moondust Grey, are available, alongside a Standard colour palette of Frost White, Rosewood, Berry Red, and Golden Oak. Heritage colours, such as Eurocell Cream, Chartwell Green, and Duck Egg Blue, can be made to order.
Dales Collection doors are also available with colour-matched weather bars.
A triple-seal frame system protects the doors and guarantees longevity, whilst two brush seals and a gasket seal prevent drafts and rain from causing problems.
The range has been rated ‘B’ for energy efficiency and sustainability as standard, but ‘A’ rated is also available.
After the introduction of Approved Document Q (AD Q) of the Building Regulations, Eurocell has worked to enhance the structural solidity of its door panels and locking hardware.
The company has introduced an accredited five-point multi-locking system, featuring adjustable keeps. The system offers an improved weather rating of up to 1,200 Pascals, demonstrating a 50% improvement on previous tests.
Meanwhile, the range’s GRP skin thickness has been increased from 2mm to 4mm. The doors have also has been fitted with Eurocell’s Tri-Sis glazing cassette, which can be internally deglazed to prevent damage to the door panel, whilst ensuring that its overall security performance is not impaired.
With these modifications, the new doors are compliant with the requirements of AD Q; they have achieved PAS 23/24:2016 accreditation, which includes the PAS 24:2016 ‘Cut Through’ test.
