CMS Window Systems presented Queen’s Award for Enterprise

  • 21 Apr 2017

CMS Window Systems has been announced as a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2017.

Established in 2006, the Cumbernauld-based company has been commended for upholding environmental, social and economic sustainable practices throughout every aspect of its business.

CMS provides windows, doors and curtain walling solutions that aim to reduce the carbon footprint of homes and buildings, whilst operating in a resource-efficient way that generates no landfill waste due to its in-house recycling facilities.

Employing more than 250 people at its 15-acre main manufacturing and recycling facility and headquarters, the window manufacturer is a living wage employer and holds Investors in People Gold standard and Investors in Young People accreditation.

The organisation has received heavy praise for its active role in developing employment opportunities for young people, and its role in bettering the local community through charitable donations and initiatives.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the latest in a series of awards presented to CMS, coming six months after it collected an award in the management category for medium and large companies in the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE).
