The new Geberit touchless tap system

  • 3 May 2017

Geberit has developed a new tap system that has changed touchless technology in the washroom. Electronic washbasin taps are hygienic and save-water, and now Geberit’s new tap system is slimmer and more elegant.

The tap system is neat and creates a clean, minimal finish as all the fixings are hidden behind the wall with a Geberit Duofix installation frame. Therefore, all the key components, including the robust mounting plate for the wall-mounted tap, function box, washbasin fastening and the drain, are height-adjustable, with the installation frames easy to adapt to suit virtually any installation.

The Geberit tap system works in conjunction with the Geberit Duofix installation frames. The tap and the IR sensor are all that is visible in front of the wall. All of the controls are separate and housed in a function box in the very accessible yet well protected installation frame.

The touchless taps are slimmer and more elegant as the outlet is separated from the control. Piave and Brenta are both available as wall-mounted or deck-mounted options and can be combined with practically any washbasin design.

The wall-mounted taps are supplied in lengths of 170mm or 220mm and make cleaning easy by leaving the washbasin free, while the deck-mounted option has a high outlet, giving the user more space for hand washing.

The system can be powered by mains, battery or self-sustaining via a generator unit driven by the presser of the tap water, and this can be changed at anytime. The cost to operate the tap is minimised and the components for regulating and maintaining the tap, water supply and mains connections are housed in the function box under the washbasin to dry.
