Charcon encourages safer cycling with new product

  • 5 May 2017

Charcon will be exhibiting at a number of cycle events that are taking place across the country throughout 2017, starting with Cycle City Active City Bradford from 11th-12th May.

The events form part of a series of ground-breaking conferences and exhibitions for all those working to encourage and implement safer cycling across Britain.

Charcon is set to exhibit its Eco Countryside Cycle Kerb Segregation System that was developed specifically for the Mayor’s flagship Cycle Superhighway 2 between Aldgate and Bow in London in 2016. This bespoke product won Best Innovation at the Cycle Planning Awards 2016 and is already helping to reduce the number of accidents on London’s roads.

Adaptations of the product will also be on display and have been used by various local authorities in the UK to improve road safety.

Bradford, Cambridge, Nottingham and Leeds have already installed this cycleway segregation system.

Mike Davies, Sector Marketing Manager for Charcon explains that the number of cyclist related accidents in London has reduced since the Eco Countryside Cycle Kerb Segregation System was installed.

You can meet the Charcon experts and learn about the benefits of the various cycle segregations systems available at the following events:

  • Cycle City Active City, Bradford at the National Science and Media Museum, Bradford 11th-12th May
  • Healthy Streets 2017 at the Waltham Forest Assembly Hall, London on 29th September
  • Transforming Britain’s Streets at The Curve Theatre, Leicester in November
