Troldtekt improves apartment acoustics

Troldtekt Plus acoustic panels were installed in an apartment to improve the acoustics of the property.

With hard surfaces and surrounding neighbours, apartments are often difficult environments to be acoustically comfortable, especially in the city.

A light and spacious city apartment offering skylights, sloping ceilings and floor to ceiling high bay windows was ideal for a family moving from the USA. However, they quickly realised that the property had poor acoustics.

Four floating clouds were installed on the ceiling with Troldtekt Plus acoustic panels to absorb the high frequencies before they bounce around the large room. They have been arranged for both functionality and aesthetics.

New artwork on the walls is an interesting aspect; using the same fine textured acoustic panels with customer selected motifs. These subtly increase sound absorption whilst adding an interesting decorative element.

Troldtekt natural wood wool ceiling panels are widely specified throughout Europe in various modern buildings as well as refurbishing interiors. They create a visually attractive and tactile textured surface which has superior acoustic performance and can incorporate different forms of lighting and speakers.

The panels offer durability and natural breathability in addition to sustainability as documented by Cradle to Cradle certification at silver level.

The panels are used to improve acoustics in many different projects, such as schools, leisure centres, pools, commercial and public buildings. They are available in a variety of sizes and in three grades from ultrafine to coarse and can be left untreated or painted in virtually any RAL colour.
