Schueco UK has announced that as a system supplier two more of its sliding door systems have been awarded Q Mark Product Certification by Exova BM Trada.
The Schuco ASS 70.HI lift/slide door and the Schueco ASS 70 FD folding/siding door are widely specified right across the UK, being suitable for both commercial projects and the domestic market.
The doors have been tested on weather performance, mechanical strength, operating forces, corrosion resistance of fittings, PAS 24 security and the doors’ and closing performance have been certified over 50,000 operating cycles.
To ensure the products are being manufactured consistently and correctly, Schueco partner-fabricators with Q Mark Certification have their quality management system annually audited as well as a door security test.
Q-Marked companies are eligible to bid for projects covered by the police’s Secured by Design initiative. This has been in operation for ten years and is regarded as having made a major contribution to reducing the number of burglaries. A such, windows and doors that comply with SBD specifications form part of the front line against unlawful entry and can help to reduce household insurance premiums.
