  • 20 Jul 2017

Aggregate Industries has appointed a new General Manager for Garside Sands, Tom Wise.

Tom has worked for Aggregate Industries for more than 15 years and has experience in business improvement and management roles in Aggregates, Readymix and Asphalt, and outside of the company in Recycling and Waste Management.

Tom commented: “Having been part of the Aggregate Industries family for the best part of two decades, I know how important the division is to the business and I’m looking forward to working with the team and getting involved with the amazing projects that they deliver.”

Garside Sands Commercial Manager, Clive Martin said: “Tom is well known across Aggregate Industries and he has an excellent reputation for delivering success.”

Garside Sands range of natural silica sands have a high silica content, typically above 95 per cent, making the sand hard-wearing with low attrition rates, and its ‘sub-angular to rounded’ grain shape and a naturally occurring colour range from white through to yellow and brown make it suitable for a range of applications including water filtration, industrial manufacturing and sports amelioration.

Garside’s sands are washed and technically graded from a variety of coarse, medium, fine, and very fine sands, and can also be mixed with a range of soils and peats to create landscape and divot mixes.
