Aggregate Industries’ secondary aggregate, Lytag, has been shortlisted in two categories in the London Construction Awards.

The Royal Garden Hotel will host the awards on the 25th October 2017for over 400 people from the London construction industry.

Aggregate Industries has been shortlisted in the ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Sustainability Construction’ categories for its use of Lytag to revolutionise modern construction through Lytacrete concrete.

It is a lightweight solution formed using Lytag aggregate, resulting in densities 30% less than normal weight.

Therefore, the material has been utilised across various commercial and residential projects of all sizes, including concrete floor slabs in The Shard, The Leadenhall Building and, most recently, specified as par of the 22 Bishopsgate ‘skyscaper’ in London, becoming the tallest building in the city.
