Kiwa BDA will provide information on the assessment process leading to the award of BDA Agrement at the RCI Show.
Appearing at the show for the first time, Kiwa BDA will be on stand number L2 managed by Business Development Manager Chris Forshaw and colleagues.
Visitors to the show will be able to find out why so many manufacturers, distributors and installers have sought product or installer approval from BDA Agrement since 2015.
The new schemes for the approval of installers of loft insulation and injected cavity wall insulation are expected to be of interest, both focusing on the key role of the installer in the performance of the product and meeting the expectations of the customer.
Training, qualifications and supervision all require assessment, in addition to the condition of the building to be insulated. The assessment of the building will include an examination of the cavity to ensure it is suitable for insulation.
With the loft insulation installer scheme, an inspection of the loft must be undertaken by a person qualified to assess the sustainability for the insulation work proposed and although this is a less detailed examination than for CWI, it is no less important, nor are the qualifications and competence of the installation team.
