Howard Chapman, Buildingtalk Editor, reports from the Le Mondial du Bâtiment Innovation Awards 2017 ceremony at Le Trianon in Paris last night including details of the gold award winners and the latest construction trends in Europe.
Le Mondial du Bâtiment Innovation Awards
Buildingtalk was honoured to be one of the specialist media that form part of a panel of around 100 Expert Juries that also included representatives of institutions, certification bodies, contractors, project owners, businesses, distributors and specialist trades.
The prize-winners were chosen by a Grand Jury that reviewed 89 nominees chosen from the 217 entries. All the winners will be exhibiting at BATIMAT in Paris – the major global building trade event of 2017 in November that attracts architects, specifiers and other industry professionals from across the world including many from the UK. Why not join over 300k visitors that are expected at the event and you can take a closer look at all the winning products featured in the Innovation Awards.
The master of ceremonies at the event was Jérome Benaldi with support from Guillaume Loizeaud, the current Director of Mondial du Bâtiment.
They both spoke about the positive mood in the construction industry in France and throughout Europe with good signs that the economy is picking-up. This year’s Batimant is strongly supported by more than 1,500 exhibitors. There will be visitors from around the world including from 84 French speaking countries. This market is being celebrated at the event as France looks to increase exports of its building product sector which is the countries 3rd largest. More than 30% of the companies at Batimat are launching new innovative products.
The trends at Le Mondial du Bâtiment Innovation Awards 2017 have been again on new products with technical innovations that impact on energy reduction and the use of renewables within the built environment is becoming common place.
