Airflow ventilation at Grand Designs Live

Airflow announces ventilation showcase for Grand Designs Live

  • 19 Sep 2017

Airflow Developments will exhibit its range of ventilation solutions, including its residential fans, Adroit units and Airflex Pro ducting, at this year’s Grand Designs Live, which is scheduled to take place at the NEC Birmingham from 11th–15th October.

Showcasing the latest interior trends and home products, Grand Designs Live presents industry professionals with the opportunity to engage with self-builders and homeowners from across the UK.

Airflow Developments will use the show to address indoor air quality concerns and communicate the importance of effective ventilation in the contemporary home environment.

Ventilation solutions for home environments

Promoting ventilation as integral to healthy living, Airflow will be showcasing its range of products and systems: its Airflex Pro collection of semi-rigid ducting, for example, will be on display in both oval and round profiles. With SAP approval, the ducting has been developed for quick on-site installation.

The Passive House-certified units can recover approximately 90% of the heat that would typically be lost during the ventilation process; this heat is then used to pre-warm any incoming outdoor air, before it is distributed around the home.

The Adroit has been implemented at the Heathcott Road housing development scheme in Leicester. Thanks to the installation, the development become the largest housing scheme in Europe to achieve Passive House certification.

A selection of Airflow’s residential extractor fans, designed for kitchens and bathrooms, will also be on display at Grand Designs Live. The company will introduce visitors to iCON, an IPX4 rated fan with an iris shutter design, iCONstant, a dMEV fan designed for silent operation, and QuietAir, a low energy extraction solution with a sound level of approximately 25 db(A).

Loovent eco, a centrifugal extractor fan that has been designed to provide effective ventilation for longer duct runs, will also be on display.

The Grand Theatre

In addition to its stand, where its product showcase will take place, Airflow will be presenting its own CPD seminars at the Grand Theatre.

The company will sponsor the theatre, which will provide insightful talks and seminars for Grand Designs delegates, for the second year running. Its seminars will take place at 10:15am, every day.

Airflow is set to host an additional seminar, which will assess the importance of ventilation in tackling indoor air pollution, on Friday 13th October at 12pm. It will also be running ‘Ask an Expert’ slots throughout the exhibition.
