Studor, the world leader in drainage ventilation, has updated the Tec-Vent fire retardant Air Admittance Valve (AAV).
Specifically designed for buildings such as schools, airports, hospitals and high-rise structures, the Tec-Vent is manufactured from flame retardant material, making it ideal for places where fire retardance is essential.
Its ideal for the design and construction community, as it offers a cheaper alternative to extending expensive flame retardant vent piping, whilst maintaining both safety and efficiency.
The Tec-Vent protects the trap seals in the drainage system, which allows fresh air to enter and ensures that the pressure within the drainage system is properly balanced.
When the flow stops the Tec-Vent closes by gravity and prevents any foul air and dangerous gases escaping and entering habitable space.
