VELUX appoints new public affairs advisor

VELUX has announced the appointment of Lewis Rogers as its first UK & Ireland public affairs advisor.

Lewis Rogers, VELUX_FotorLewis brings more than seven years’ experience in government affairs and corporate communications, to the team.

He will be responsible for strengthening VELUX’s engagement with various national institutions and the broader stakeholder community. In addition, Lewis will take responsibility for monitoring all national and devolved legislation of importance to the VELUX Group, including the UK’s exit from the European Union.

Andrew Lumsden comments on the appointment: “At VELUX we are looking to be more involved in a national dialogue around new building standards. With a legislative drive towards creating healthier and more energy efficient homes, Lewis will help to ensure that VELUX is part of these discussions, promoting the benefits of natural daylight and ventilation in the development of healthier homes.

“Brexit raises a number of issues for all businesses, and VELUX is no different. Lewis will help to raise our level of understanding across multiple Brexit-related issues including investor confidence, any barriers to trade, regulation and skills.”
