Dormakaba has launched a new cloud based access control system that is a fully scalable, fee based solution developed for small and medium sized businesses, including those with multi-site requirements.
The security and door solutions provider introduces exivo, with the latest addition to its range being simple to install. Along with this, it has an intuitive design, meaning the system is flexible to meet changing needs.
Paid solely on a price per door basis, exivo provides a complete security and access control system. This ensures that buildings with a smaller amount of doors will pay less – something that software based smart access solutions cannot always provide.
Each door can be fitted with a wireless digital cylinder lock or lever handle, which due to their dimensions can easily replace existing door hardware, or in circumstances where this is not desired – a wireless component can be added.
All devices within the system are linked to a wireless hub, with signal repeaters also available to ensure a reliable connection across large sites. Fully Wired on-line doors controls are also available.
The system is incredibly simple to install and integrates easily with a building’s existing IT network, meaning no complex configurations are required and the nature of a cloud-based system with centralised customer support makes it ideal for businesses without a dedicated IT function.
exivo can be used in a number of instances, including multi-use sites such as community buildings and businesses with multiple sites such as retail outlets.
As well as this, out of hours access can be granted instantly on a temporary basis to a mobile phone for deliveries or other critical access needs.
Paul Adams, Product Marketing Manager for Electronic Access and Data Solutions at dormakaba, said: “exivo provides an adaptable and scalable access control solution for a wide range of SME applications, without the need for additional infrastructure investment.
“We are committed to continually developing the services we offer to customers. The cloud-based platform enables new features and updates to be released on a regular basis, immediately benefitting our customers.”
The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report shows builders’ merchants’ value sales in October were up +1.2% compared to the same month last year.
