‘Square Chapel’, a red brick built Georgian Chapel in Halifax, used as a place of worship and a performing arts centre, has had full height curtain walling provided for them by Aluprof.
The Square Chapel forms a popular complex which offers the very best in entertainment, where it be film, live music, theatre, comedy, family shows and workshops, complete with a large bright foyer, which features a visually stunning and decorated arrowhead roof construction by architect Evans Vettori.
The curtain walling supplied by Aluprof is in its MB-SR50N system, coming in in a dark grey powder coat, which was designed and installed by the specialist envelope contractor H-K-L of Sutton-in-Ashfield.
As the new roof to the foyer could not be loaded onto the existing structures, everything is carried on three central structural steel trees.
The tree theme is continued in the leafy colours on the angled canopy soffit, which has resulted in the two entrances to be colloquially named either the ‘spring’ or ‘autumn’ bridges, with green being the main shade on one, and brown the other.
Completing this allure is the artistic etching of branches on the south wall glazing, provided to lower solar gain.
Aluprof’s deep range of systems go further, including unitised curtain walling, commercial doors systems, sliding folding doors and a wide range of window systems, all of which are being specified more on both residential and commercial projects across the UK and abroad.
All systems are designed and installed by selected, specially trained companies to ensure every product meets Aluprof’s high standards.
