Wienerberger rewarded for hard work with young people and schools

  • 22 Nov 2017

EBP has named Wienerberger the Investors in Education for 2017 after the company’s exceptional work and positive partnerships developed over the last academic year with young people and schools.

The wall, roof and landscaping solutions provider has demonstrated commitment to fostering relationships within the education sector through a variety of projects. This includes the recent donation of 16,000 clay bricks to Hull’s 151 nursery school – which you can read more about here.

Wienerberger attends the Lincolnshire Showground event annually, giving primary and secondary school pupils the opportunity to learn more about Wienerberger’s Heritage department and the process of developing intricate finials and sculptures with hands-on activities.

The company has also made an effort to attract older students into construction by holding a Heritage event at Headingly Cricket Ground in Leeds earlier this year.

Ian Martinson, Heritage & Factory 3 Team Leader, commented: “We are continually looking for new ways in which we can engage with the younger generations and highlight the importance of construction in education. We are thrilled to have participated in so many fantastic projects and we’re looking forward to seeing what opportunities the new academic year will bring.”
