SMARTair ticks all the boxes for Zaragoza hospital

  • 7 Dec 2017

Hospital MAZ, in Zaragoza, recently utilised the SMARTair Wireless Online electronic access control from ASSA ABLOY, providing security and flexibility in one.

Approximately 115 SMARTair escutcheons and wall readers have been fitted. SMARTair wall readers are currently controlling hospital lifts, car parks, fire sectoring doors and the gym whilst wireless escutcheons lock offices, kitchens, the canteen, pharmacy, archive and storerooms.

The access system is controlled by the SMARTair TS10000 management software, installed in the central server and managed via client servers in different hospital departments. The SMARTair Web Manager runs inside any standard internet browser and makes admin simple.

The Wireless Online system updates via communications hubs in real time, allowing security managers to save time by easily implementing all changes via the central system.

SMARTair devices benefit from being wireless and battery-powered, and installation and operation inexpensive.

Staff can get access with the use of a single MIFARE smart card programmed with their constantly updated, individual access permissions.

Since installation, the hospital is planning to expand their SMARTair installation to another 50 doors.
