Consider Closomat to reap rewards says Robin

  • 20 Dec 2017

Marketing manager at Closomat, Robin Tuffley, believes inclusion and accessibility access go beyond people solely with disabilities, but those with racial, religious, physical and mental considerations too.

He cites the company’s unique Lima Lifter wash & dry (automatic bidet) toilet as an example of a sophisticated solution to address this.

Its integrated douching and drying is considerate of cultural preferences attributing to hygiene, with in-built facilities to satisfy Islamic considerations regarding hand to body contact.

Simple push buttons make it fully height-adjustable, for each user, meaning people of all heights and/or disabled persons can set it to whatever their individual preference in terms of comfort is.

Robin talks about toilet making a stellar selling point, which differentiates them from the competition. He refers to the Japanese, who see wash & dry toilets as a relatively normal entity, so the 250,000 visitors who visit the UK from there can be put off as they could easily deem the conventional method of cleaning after toileting unhygienic.

Muslim tourists, he adds, spend £2.52billion in Britain, so their religious avoidance of hand to body contact is extremely important to address.

He mentions height adjustability of a WC being a big consideration for taller people, especially if they are disabled, as they have actually had clients who, when away from home, cannot use the toilet because at regulatory height, they cannot then get off it.

“Even if one or two were installed, your doors are opened to enhanced guest satisfaction, and you simultaneously achieve ‘Best Practice’ compliance. The number of potential guests who would prefer it, benefit from it make it a justifiable expenditure,” Robin added.

The Best Practice is in line with British Standards BS8300.
