Crown Paints has handed over its 1000th litre of paint to the city of Hull, as it honours its standing as the UK City of Culture 2017.
To commemorate the occasion, Crown has created a uniquely branded container, with over 150 tins produced.
Representatives on behalf of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 made a visit to Crown’s manufacturing centre in Sculcoates Lane, Hull, to take a look at the special paint.

Paint has been given to the Humber Street Gallery, in which Crown provided a aesthetically superb backdrop for the exhibition space and the World’s Favourite Colour initiative, in which a rich shade of teal – Marrs Green – was chosen by a global audience (Both with more information at: http://www.buildingtalk.com/crown-paints-ideal-for-hull-as-city-of-culture/) are other examples of Crown’s great work these past 12 months.

Site Manager at Crown Paints Hull manufacturing centre, Ellis Mudd, commented: “Crown has been manufacturing paints in the city for more than 200 years and the last 12 months have certainly been a landmark time in our history and that of the city overall.
“We are really proud to support Hull UK City of Culture. It has provided a national and international platform to showcase our colour expertise and celebrate the transformational power of culture.
“The impact of the programme overall has been remarkable and we are delighted to have played our part so far.”
Louise Babych, Hull UK City of Culture Development Manager spoke about her delight of having Crown Paints as a business partner.
