Sustainability of Freeman Homes showcased by Northleach development

  • 11 Jan 2018

The prospect of experiencing a spectacular new show home awaits people who pay a visit to Freeman Homes’ latest residential development in Northleach, Gloucestershire.

Situated on the fringe of the Cotswold market town, The Alcott is an executive property which boasts a spacious and flexible layout, featuring lavish detail in both internal and external design.

Set to be finished in the spring, the development consists of five detached Cotswold properties, which have been visually designed to nestle nicely amidst the landscape.

The homes, which were created in tandem with Bath architect Nash Partnership, all contain Cotswold stone, slate roofs and timber windows, that perfectly resonate with the area’s architecture and with just three properties remaining, early viewing is recommended.

Edward Nash, senior partner and founder of Nash Partnership, said he had “always been fascinated by the variety of the built environment” as he set out to capture the uniqueness of the Cotswold region, saying it was something which was highly focussed on.

Freeman Homes joint CEO, Luke Freeman, added: “Each property has been designed to make the most of its positioning within the development with consideration given to the relationship with adjacent houses and where sunlight falls at different times of day.”

The Gloucestershire-based property developer is dedicated to sustainable construction, with the mantra ‘Building for a Better Future’.

All properties in this development have featured a timber frame construction, which has been sourced from managed coniferous forests. This type of building is outstandingly thermal efficient; remaining warm in winter, which come with the benefits of lowering heating expenses and maintaining coolness in the hotter months.

Furthermore, energy-efficient appliances feature throughout the properties, including the installation of clean-burn technology Worcester Bosch Greenstyle woodburners, Quooker boiling water taps, and LED recessed spot lighting.
