Bull Products has secured its first large European contract with oil and gas company, Shell, which has seen them supply its renowned Cygnus alarm systems for a renovation project.
The manufacturer of life-saving fire protection equipment has helped provide on-site safety for the oldest Shell building in the Netherlands.
The grade II listed building, established for over a century, began to show significant signs of decay. Therefore, major restoration work took place, whereby Bull’s alarm systems were vital in protecting the site.
The Cygnus radio system has been a major innovation for site safety and has already been seen on a range of the largest construction projects across Britain.
Over 100 alarm units have been fitted on site, including the Cygnus Control Panel, Cygnus Repeater Unit, Cygnus Heat Detector and its First Responder Station, with the Fire Call Point and First Aid Alarm.
Sales director at Bull Products, Matthew Trigwell, spoke of his pride of helping the work on a such an important building, saying the alarms will allow workers to log and quickly identify emergency situations through the control panel, ensuring the building’s protection 24/7.
Raymond Huizing, Project Manager at Shell, said that after seeing the system in use at London’s Shell building, they were confident of using it in the Netherlands projects
“There’s so much historical significance and important architectural impact that we want to preserve, therefore it was crucial that we worked with Bull to ensure we had the right alarm systems in place in order to protect this building to the highest standards,” Raymond said.
Gilberts Blackpool is continuing to build on its reputation as a pioneer with the unveiling of ThermaAstute™ – the most extensive range of thermally sensitive diffusers in the market.
