Great GEZE give Cambridge quality ventilation

  • 31 Jan 2018

GEZE UK has played a vital role in the refurbishment of West Court, part of Jesus College, Cambridge, by providing a natural ventilation system that creates an ideal learning environment.

It is GEZE’s award-winning Slimchain automatic window drive which features, managed by the WS 1000 indoor climate building control.

This is connected to a weather station which, by working together, balance internal conditions such as air quality, temperature and humidity with external elements such as rain and wind speeds to achieve desired requirements.

As experts believe brain power can be improved through enhanced indoor air quality by utilising natural air flow, this makes GEZE’s supreme ventilation solution ideal for a building which houses the College’s new Intellectual Forum.

GEZE UK provided a full suite of natural ventilation products which include Slimchain window actuators for outward opening vents , DMS 5 open/close controllers, temperature sensors, weather station and WS 1000 touch screen controller.

The Slimchain actuator range is extremely versatile and an ideal choice in creating a climate control package.

Andy Howland, GEZE UK’s Sales and Marketing Director, expressed his delight at being involved in such a prestigious building

“We are delighted that GEZE UK was able to contribute to functionality of a building with such fabulous credentials in supporting wellbeing within an esteemed educational establishment.”

Dr Richard Anthony, Bursar at Jesus College, added: “Bringing our plans for West Court to fruition has proved to be one of the most important projects in the College’s history. West Court is already benefitting our students, academics and alumni; and will provide excellent conferencing, study and accommodation facilities for visiting scholars from around the world.”
