Howard Chapman, Buildingtalk Editor takes a look at The Hub, Mitsubishi Electric’s new innovative blog site that has won an industry award for its content-based approach.
Mitsubishi Electric’s innovative blog site The Hub has received industry recognition by winning the Online Initiative of the Year category at the prestigious, ACR News Awards.
The Hub is open to all. The website publishes regular comment and articles on issues affecting anyone involved in energy use in the built environment.
Russell Jones, content and communications manager and editor-in-chief of the website: “We have designed The Hub to provide informative and interesting content that will help everyone understand why it is so important for all of us to tackle energy use within our buildings. Not only does it aim to help inform the debate about energy use, we also want our customers to be able to use it to help educate their customers about the issues that affect us all.
Winning the ACR News Award will help spread the message that as an industry, we have the technology, the people and the skills to effect positive change on our built environment – and minimise the effect modern life has on the planet,”
The blog site contains informative, topical and entertaining articles from both independent editors and Mitsubishi Electric’s own experts, talking about issues in a practical way that allows visitors to leave with more knowledge on a subject.
Whether that is about MEES – the new legislation affecting commercial landlords; or R32 – the new gas affecting the air conditioning industry; The Renewable Heat Incentive; Indoor Air Quality; or EN378, there will be something for everyone.
The Hub is designed to provide opinion and useful information for anyone interested or involved in reducing energy use within the built environment.
The Hub will post regular opinion from both Mitsubishi Electric specialists and independent editors and industry experts to help inform, educate and hopefully inspire debate.
Hosted and curated by Mitsubishi Electric, suggestions on areas to focus on should be sent to [email protected].
