FLIR Systems’ E53 becomes the newest member of the Exx-Series of advanced thermal imaging cameras for electrical, mechanical, and building applications.

This entry-level model in the Exx-Series offers the same image clarity, measurement and accuracy of other models in the Exx lineup, but brings the capabilities of advanced thermal imaging to many more service professionals and contractors, who use these cameras to identify hot spots or building deficiencies before they lead to anything worse.

The FLIR E53 features…

  • an amazing 4-inch touchscreen with a 160-degree viewing angle, to ensure a clear view of the thermal image from any angle.
  • noticeable improvements to FLIR’s MSX technology, making the most of a 5-megapixel visual camera for enhanced image clarity, perspective and readability.
  • 240×180 resolution detector providing over 43,000 points of temperature measurement, with a high temperature range up to 1200°F (650°C).
  • a rugged, water-resistant design that can withstand tough environments faced by technicians and contractors every day.

Rickard Lindvall, General Manager of Instruments at FLIR, spoke about wanting the E53 to be a product for industry professionals who wish to access advanced handheld cameras but thought they could not.

“It offers the resolution, sensitivity, and reporting tools they need to be able to quickly and accurately diagnose problems, and prove they’ve made the repairs,” he added.
