Icopal has recently introduced the Universal range to the market, a flexible new collection that is perfect for flat or pitched roofs.
Available in a trio of different variations, the product comes with benefits of being durable and environmentally sound.
With its high puncture resistance, this addition is long lasting, with a life span of up to 30 years. The single layer roofing system contains POCB (polyolefine copolymerisate binder) and is further enhanced with glass fibre and polyester.
Combined with UV protection, the Universal range is the most durable and versatile roofing material available.
This range is also entirely ecologically friendly, consisting of clean raw materials, whilst also being free from plasticizers, chlorine and other halogens.
This means the product considerably lowers the environmental impact of a building. Furthermore, Universal is also fully recyclable, another benefit in terms of environmental credentials.
Neil Harrison, Technical Director at Icopal, said the Universal range sees versatility and sustainability come together nicely, adding it is very rewarding to see how popular it is proving with customers.
Icopal Universal comes in three different variations and can be used in a range of applications.
The most popular version is Icopal Universal POCB, which can be mechanically fixed, ballasted and loose laid.
Then there is Icopal Universal SA, a self-adhesive which makes detailing easy and safe.
Finally, Icopal Universal WS, which is resistant to root penetration, making it perfect for green roof applications.
