Wilo‘s new efficient drinking water pump, the Wilo-Yonos MAXO-Z, ensures both hygienically sound and dependable drinking water circulation.
Water allowed stagnates in pipe sections with little or no circulation could lead to legionella contamination and in buildings for commercial use, increasingly stringent requirements are being set for pumps.
This is to ensure drinking water is provided to a hygienic standard, in the amounts and at the temperatures required.
The ErP Directive set new standards for the efficiency requirements of pumps and Wilo have used European requirements for pump efficiency during development of the Yonos MAXO-Z, despite it not actually being covered by the directive.
Wilo Technical and Training Manager, Gary Wheatley, talked about how customers are set to benefit from the advantages of high-efficiency technology, even in domestic hot water circulation.
“This makes a lot of sense, as domestic hot water circulators run up to 24 hours a day – for example in hospitals and hotels – and this high-efficiency technology can facilitate high energy savings compared to standard pumps,” he said.
LED display means this glandless circulator for domestic hot water also offers complete transparency of the delivery head, speed stage and possible faults.
“The cable is attached directly to the Connector and only then plugged in to the pump,” said Gary.
“This creates enhancements both in operability and in ease of installation.”
