RAVATHERM Rob sure to strengthen specification

  • 4 Apr 2018

RAVATHERM UK have announced the acquisition of Rob Firman as a new technical and specification manager.

The Hartlepool-based POLYFOAM™ XPS insulation manufacturer has furthered its technical support offering with this appointment.

Rob (above photo) brings over 10 years of technical specification experience in the construction industry to the role, formerly working in similar jobs for the likes of PIR insulation manufacturer, Celotex, industrial engineering firm, Permastore Ltd, and flat roof waterproofing system manufacturer, Bauder.

At RAVATHERM UK, Rob will work alongside architects, specifiers, contractors and distributors to assist with specification queries.

The technical support team of which he will be a part of offers a quick turnaround service for customers, whether need email, telephone or face-to-face assistance.

He will also complete U-Value calculations and condensation risk analysis for projects nationwide.

Rob described his appointment as a ‘fantastic new challenge’, saying the fact he has worked in technical specification throughout his career has given him the requisite skills and expanded his knowledge so that he can excel in his new role.

“POLYFOAM™ XPS is a very well-established product within the market and I’m looking forward to working more closely with customers to help them develop sound specifications for a mix of refurbishment and new build projects across the UK,” he added.

Stuart Bell, managing director at RAVATHERM UK, said Rob is a ‘real asset to the business’ and they were ‘delighted to welcome him on board.’

He added Rob’s appointment is a way to further open the dialogue with specifiers and distributors, ensuring support and guidance is there for them, whenever they need it.
